New Jersey has declared 14th April as ‘Equality Day’ to commemorate Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s birth anniversary

On the auspicious occasion, it gives us great pleasure to share a wonderful development which was announced today.

 

The Mayor’s office, Jersey City in New Jersey has declared 14th April as ‘Equality Day’ to commemorate Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s birth anniversary and is a part of public record. Please find the copy of the proclamation attached for your perusal.

 

Besides paying tributes to the true champion of Equality, this also reaffirms the fact that Dr. Ambedkar’s towering personality and contributions towards humanity has an unbound global appeal.

 

We thank the Immigrant Affairs Commission, City Council of Jersey City for this excellent step forward.
